WARSAW — Lutheran Health Network/KCH recently presented a $3,000 check to the Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County. Kosciusko Community Hospital, a corporate gold sponsor, will also be the title sponsor for the Freaky 5K Family Halloween Run/Walk Oct. 29.
The Cancer Care Fund raises money to directly assist cancer patients in Kosciusko County with the financial burdens of their cancer diagnosis and treatment.
The CCF volunteers organize various events throughout the year: a fashion show, cocktails by the lake, the Steve Dodds’ Golf Fundraiser and a dinner/dance and auction. “What is unique about the CCF, is that 100 percent of all net funds raised are used to financially assist cancer patients and their families, right here in our county,” said Jeff Wells, CCF chairman. “The K21 Health Foundation administers our fund at no cost, which means more funds go to our friends and neighbors that are in need.”
KCH has always been a significant supporter of the Cancer Care Fund, both financially and through volunteer work of its associates. The CCF is grateful to have them as a corporate sponsor.
