WARSAW — An activated fire alarm at the Kosciusko County Justice Building brought Warsaw/Wayne Fire Department with assistance from Winona Lake around 7:20 a.m. today, Nov. 19.
An initial report received was smoke could be smelled in the prosecutor’s office. Sheriff’s deputies in the building and in the jail division quickly searched the jail for any indications what may have caused the alarm, and then searched the three floors, reporting no smell of smoke.
Fire officials also searched the building and found no smoke. Justice building maintenance personnel and fire officials will be walking through the building to determine what caused the alarm to activate.
No evacuation took place.
