Herbert J. “Herb” Raderstorf, age 76, Plymouth, passed away at 7:22 a.m., on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at his residence.
Herb was born on April 24, 1939, in Logansport, to Edmund J. and Elsie E. (Bratcher) Raderstorf.
April 24, 1993, was the day that Herb married the former Tammy Pohnor in Mishawaka.
Herb spent many years in sales, both retail and in insurance. He was also a tool maker for the Dodge Company. Herb proudly served his country in the United States Navy from April 1956 to June 1964. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Herb is survived by his wife, Tammy Raderstorf; daughters: Cindy M. (Wayne) Binion of Mishawaka, and Ingrid D. Raderstorf of Hobert; son, Nicholas J. “Nick” Raderstorf of Niles, Mich.; step-daughter, Dawn; grandchildren: Hannah, Adrianna, Alex, and Mackenzy; step-grandchildren, Kyra and Corbin; great-grandson: Gage of Mishawaka; brother: Gene (Claudia) Raderstorf of Colorado; and sister: Carol Cates of South Bend.
Herb was preceded in passing by two sisters, Sandra Barna and Linda Banner.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service at the church, House of Prayer, 12450 Plymouth-Goshen Trail, Plymouth. Pastor Nathan Haner will officiate.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
