There is still time to celebrate Earth Day at the KC Recycling Depot, 220 S. Union St., Warsaw. Fun activities, tire recycling, secure document shredding, workshops and information will be available until 3 p.m.
Always wanted to plant a tree or two on your property? Here’s your chance to get a free tree (one per adult so bring lots of adults with you). The city of Warsaw through a KREMC Envirowatts grant has purchased 540 trees to be given away. There are tulip, river birch, red bud, witch hazel, hornbeam and arborvitie.
Make sure to take a moment to take a look around at the items in the recycling shop and sign up for two free drawings. Free popcorn is available.
Today is the perfect day to bring in recyclable items to the depot and grab a tree and give it a new home to help the environment.
