Kathleen G. Sands, 20, North CR 200E, Milford, was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for medical treatment following a two-vehicle accident at 3:06 p.m. Thursday, at Meijer Drive and Lake City Highway. Sands complained of pain to the head.
Warsaw Police report Sands’ 1999 Mercury was struck by a 2001 Ford F3D truck driven by David M. Henry, 41, North CR 525W, Larwill.
Henry told police he was eastbound on US 30 and failed to see the traffic light was red, proceeding through the intersection. As Henry went through the intersection his vehicle collided with the Sands vehicle. Sands was turning onto Meijer Drive from the westbound lane.
Damage was estimated up to $10,000.
INITIAL: Emergency personnel are currently responding to an accident located on US 30 in front of Meijer in the eastbound lane.
According to Reporter Deb Patterson, two vehicles were confirmed to be involved in the accident with one person transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for injuries.
Traffic is backed up in the eastbound lane and drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
