Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:38 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, East CR 200N, east of CR 100E, Warsaw. Driver Robert L. Conrad, 58, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Conrad lost control of his vehicle on the ice covered road, went off the road, hitting a metal post. Damage up to $5,000.
3:06 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, East CR 1050N, east of CR North 250E, Milford. Driver: Andrew P. Marsh, 22, North CR 700E, Syracuse. Marsh lost control of his vehicle on ice, went off the road, hit an REMC pole and mailbox owned by Keith Beer, East CR 1050N, Milford. Damage up to $5,000.
2:51 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, Argonne Road and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Albert R. Mullins, 69, Elmer Avenue, Fort Wayne, and Kati N. Carpenter, 28, South CR 750W, Claypool. Mullins vehicle struck the back of the Carpenter vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
1:59 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, Lake City Highway and East CR 200N, Warsaw. Drivers: Jason Lowe, 40, Red Crane Lane, Jacksonville, Fla., and Kelsey N. Hendrickson, 20, Robin Drive, Warsaw. Lowe’s vehicle struck the back of the Hendrickson vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
12:53 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, South CR 700W and South CR 500W, Burket. Driver: Cora L. Warner, 21, West Center Street, Burket. Warner lost control of her vehicle on the icy road. The vehicle left roadway hitting telephone junction box and county highway sign, then overturned in the ditch. Damage up to $5,000.
11:43 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, West CR 1350N, west of North CR 950W, Nappanee. Driver: Joas D. Schmucker,24, Fourth Road, Bremen. Vehicle slid on a patch of ice, went off the road, struck three fence posts. Damage up to $2,500.
11:11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, North CR 150W, south of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver; Leon Burnett, 63, North Meadow Ridge Drive, Warsaw. Burnett’s vehicle went off the road due to ice and hit a tree. Burnett complained of pain to the knee/lower let/foot and was cited for driving while suspended. A passenger, Raymond D. Childress, 54, Tippecanoe Drive, Warsaw, also complained of pain to the knee/lower leg/foot. Damage up to $10,000.
10:48 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, East Armstrong Road and EMS T26 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Tony L. Lozier, 60, P.O. Box, North Webster. Lozier lost control of his vehicle due to ice, went off the road and rolled down an embankment. Damage up to $5,000.
10:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, North CR 100E south of East CR 300N, Warsaw. Driver: Justin D. Hartley, 18, East Wellington Drive, Warsaw. Hartley lost control of his vehicle on the icy road, went off the road and hit a NIPSCO pole. Damage up to $10,000.
9:23 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, East Armstrong Road and North CR 200E. Driver: Hailey R. Deskins, 18, West Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Vehicle slid off the road and rolled over down an embankment. Damage up to $5,000.
9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, South CR 250E north of East Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Driver: Thomas R. Miller, 76, Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Lost control of his vehicle, went off the road, down and embankment, coming to rest against a tree. Damage up to $1,000.
7:22 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, West CR 600N and North SR 15, Leesburg. Drivers: Kenton J. Cornell, 17, East Armstrong Road, Leesburg and Gayle L. Westover, 59, East Forest Glen Avenue, Leesburg. Cornell went to slow for a vehicle in front of him that began to slide, causing him to loose control of his vehicle. He lost control of his vehicle and spun into the Westover vehicle. Damage under $750
6:57 a.m. Monday, Nov 17, North CR 850E, North Webster. Driver: Mathew W. Mawer, 38, South CR 100E, Claypool. Mawer’s vehicle slid on ice, hitting the check in station at Tri County Game Preserve Damage up to $5,000.
6:28 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, West CR 900N, east of North Orn Road, Milford. Driver: Gabriela Cervantes, 52, Meadows, Nappanee. lost control of her vehicle, left roadway hit REMC pole. Refused EMS care. Damage up to $10,000.
5:57 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, East Main Street, west of South Jackson Street, Atwood. Drivers: Jacob L. Atkins, 36, North Walnut Street, Plymouth and Chad R. Zellers, 29, West CR 950S Silver Lake. Atkins vehicle slid into the back of a county highway truck which was stopped. Damage up to $1,000.
5:54 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, East CR 1300N and North CR 250E, Milford. Driver: Julia G. Radford, 46, West Portland Street, Syracuse. Radford’s vehicle slid off the road and struck a fence. Damage up to $2,500.
4:51 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, North CR 800W north of West CR 400N, Etna Green. Driver: Kenneth E. Hensley, 54, West Fourth Street, North Manchester. Hensley lost control of his vehicle, hitting an REMC pole. Damage up to $5,000
6:32 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 South CR 450W, north of West CR 525S, Claypool. Driver: Gregory A. Rohrer, 31, West CR 600S, Claypool. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
7:53 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, South Packerton Road west of East CR 225S, Winona Lake. Driver; Sherrie L. VanPuffelen, 58, South Paxton Drive, Warsaw. VanPuffelen’s vehicle began sliding on the ice, when she attempted to correct it, the vehicle went off the southside of the road, rolling over and damaging fence owned by John B. Elliott. Damage up to $50,000
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
9:46 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, East Epworth Forest Road, east of North SR 13, North Webster. Driver; Joseph M. Smits, 17, East Epworth Forest Road, North Webster. lost control due to icy road, hit ditch and cement curb. damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:49 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, Lake City Highway and North CR 150W, Warsaw. Drivers: Garri R. Simonyants, 52, Vinnings Creek Dr., Matthews, N.C., and Cassandra L. Bowles, 25, North Woodland Trail, Monticello. Simonyants attempted to stop at the traffic light, but could not stop in time, going through the intersection and hitting the Bowles vehicle. Bowles later complained of pain to her knee. She was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital where she also reported feeling pain to her back. Damage up to $2,500
4:36 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, Lake City Highway and Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Tiffany M. Gann, 19, North CR 1050W, Etna Green, complained of pain to the head and Rose L. Lockhart, 51, West Third Street, North Manchester. Gann attempted to stop her vehicle due to slowing traffic shen she hit the back of the Lockhart vehicle. Gann complained of pain to the head but refused medical treatment at the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
3:06 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, East Prairie Street and South Indiana Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jacob L. Foster, 16, East CR 350N, Warsaw, and Jonathan D. Munoz, 18, East Market Street, Warsaw. Foster’s vehicle slid and struck the back of the Munoz vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
6:13 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, West Center Street. Warsaw. Driver: Bruce A. Prosser, 50, Flamingo Drive, Warsaw. Prosser was backing from a parking space and struck a parked vehicle registered to Beth R. Barrus, Boys City Drive, Winona Lake. Damage up to $2,500.
5:21 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, Lake City Highway, east of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Jeffrey L. Sutton, 34, East CR 100N, Pierceton. Sutton lost control of his vehicle and struck a concrete barrier wall twice. Damage up to $5,000
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:08 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, South Packerton Road, north of CR 500S. Driver; Clayton D. Marcum, 18, East Third Street, North Manchester. Marcum stated he started feeling tired and remembers his vehicle leaving the road, sliding and flipping over. When the vehicle left the road it sideswiped a group of small trees and rolled onto its top, coming to rest in a field. He complained of pain to the neck and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $10,000
