A pharmacist at Wal-Mart Supercenter, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw, could be facing criminal charges for theft of medication.
According to Warsaw Police Lt. Kip Shuter, officers were called to the store at 5:29 p.m. Monday, after the pharmacist was fired and escorted off the property. According to store loss prevention officials the theft occurred Oct. 29.
Police were told a technician in the pharmacy had discovered medications were getting mixed. A video showed the pharmacist placing two separate medications in the same medicine container. The pharmacist allegedly stole 40 tablets of ciprofloxacin, an antibiotic, valued at $8.
Information on the matter has been sent to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s office for further review.
