Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

6:17 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, North Rainbow Drive and West Bell Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Kyle R. Flores, 21, North Perry Drive, Milford. Flores swerved to miss a deer, causing his vehicle to go off the road and hit a guide cable to a utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

12:44 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, West Market Street, east of Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kenny R. Stout, 34, North Fourth Street, North Manchester, and Timothy J. Hauth, 58, Fairlane Drive, Warsaw. Stout stated the brakes failed as he stopped in the alley, traveling into Market Street and hitting a trailer being towed by Hauth’s vehicle. Stout was cited for no operator’s license in possession and no registration. Damage up to $10,000.

6:47 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, West 300N and North Detroit St., Warsaw. Drivers: Anthony C. Farmer, 29, West SR 25, Mentone, and Kelly M. Williams, 33, Heron Boulevard, Warsaw. Farmer backed into the Williams’ vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

Winona Lake

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

8:03 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, Second Street and Kings Highway, Winona Lake. Drivers: Stephen D. McGlothin, 70, Second Street, Winona Lake, and Courtney E. Carver, 22, East CR 600S, Warsaw. McGlothin’s view was obstructed by the vehicle’s support pillar causing him to pull out in front of Carver’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

9:23 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Esther W. Raber, 69, West CR 500N, Ligonier, and Angela Long, 32, West School Street, Chicago Ill. Raber backed into Long’s vehicle in the McDonald’s parking lot. Damage up to $1,000.

7:43 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, North Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse. Driver: Chastity J. Brickey, 37 East Orange Street, Cromwell. Brickey was turning a school bus around in the high school parking lot, driving through a tight space, hitting a parked vehicle registered to Matthew J. Roberts, North CR 620E, Syracuse. Damage up to $5,000.
