Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, South SR 15 and South Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Johnny A. Mullen, 17, CR 94, Carthage, Mo., and Karen A. Saffen, 65, South Oak Drive, Warsaw. Mullen’s vehicle struck the back of the Saffen vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
5:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, South CR 250E and East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Nichole L. Caudill, 30, East CR 200N, Lot 147, Warsaw, and Mary E. Heminger, 70, EMS C19 Lane, Warsaw. Caudill’s vehicle struck the back of the Heminger vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
6:12 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, North SR 13 and East CR 900N, North Webster. Drivers: Marvin E. Boger, 70, East Morrison Island Road, Syracuse, and Victoria K. Griesmann, 24, East Lake View Drive, Syracuse. Boger drove his vehicle out into the path of the Griesmann vehicle, causing Griesmann to swerve and hit a mailbox and go into a ditch. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:46 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, US 30, west of Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Driver: James F. Marti, 20, North CR 325E, Warsaw. Marti swerved his vehicle off the roadway after another vehicle swerved into his lane of travel. His vehicle struck a state highway sign, Century Link electrical box and a NIPSCO pole. He was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Damage up to $5,000.
3:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, East Market Street and South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Eric Lopez, 22, Pleasant Valley Lane, Fort Wayne, and Roberto A. Lorenzana, 74, East CR 200N Lot 147, Warsaw. Injured: Juana D. Mendez, 73, East CR 200N, Lot 39, Warsaw, a passenger in the Lorenzana vehicle. She complained of pain to the abdomen/pelvic area. Lopez attempted to stop for the stop sign at the last minute but went into the intersection hitting the Lorenzana vehicle. Lopez was cited for disregarding a stop sign. Damage up to $10,000.
2:20 p.. Thursday, Sept. 7, East Market Street, west of South Lindburg Street, Warsaw. Driver: Jacob A. Gall, 32, East Market Street, Warsaw, and Sarah A. Estep, 29, South CR 500W, Warsaw. Gall was backing his vehicle from his driveway and failed to see the Estep vehicle, backing into the vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
1:06 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, North SR 15, north of West CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Jody N. Sisk, 34, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, and John J. Hill, 38, South CR 1075E, Akron. Sisk’s vehicle struck the back of the Hill vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, East Center Street, west of North Indiana Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Samuel D. Gillis, 27, East CR 300N, Warsaw, and Michael L. Bough, 26, Maple Lane, Nappanee. Gillis’ vehicle struck the back of the Bough vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
