Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents;

7:51 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, South Packerton Road, south of East CR 700S, Warsaw. Drivers: Bruce D. Reinhart, 53, North CR 900W, Cromwell, and Ashley E. Brown, 26, South Side Drive, Warsaw. Reinhart didn’t realize he was driving left of center due to the sun and when he saw the Brown vehicle coming, he served to the right. Brown’s vehicle went off the roadway. Damage up to $1,000.

4:51 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, North SR 19, north of West Hepton Road, Nappanee. Owner of vehicle: Maria I. Pantoja Cervantes, Meadows, Nappanee. A Chevrolet Caravan was found in a corn field with no one around. The van was driven 100 feet to 200 feet into the corn field owned by Bren Reed Farms. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

4:48 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, Rosella Road, east of South Logan Street, Warsaw. Driver: William C. Brinkerhuff, 47, South SR 15, Warsaw. Pedestrian: Heather M. Graham, 24, Laurelwood Drive, Warsaw. Brinkerhuff was westbond on Rozella Road and momentarily looked at an eastbound vehicle. When he looked back on the road he saw Graham who was running on the paved surface. Brinkerhuff veered his vehicle hard to the left, but was unable to avoid her. Graham was deflected off the side of the road. She was taken to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Damage up to $2,500.

4:06 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Heather L. Robb, 36, Jean Ridge Drive, Fort Wayne, and Margaret Longstreet, 91, Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake. Robb was backing from a parking space at the same tie Longstreet was backing from a parking space across the isle, colliding. Damage up to $2,500.

Marshall

Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

9:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 7000 block Plymouth-LaPorte Trail and Rose Road. Driers: Nils Lamberson, Plymouth and Ashley Berg, Walkerton. Berg suffered minor injuries. Three juvenile passengers in Berg’s vehicle sustained minor injuries from seatbelts. They were transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. Lamberson was traveling north on Rose Road and drove into the path of the Berg vehicle.

1:50 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, US 6 at Union Road, Walkerton. Driver: Daniel Meyer, 38, Nappanee. Meyer ws transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital by Lutheran Air with head trauma. Meyer lost control of his motorcycle on a curve, crossing the westbound lane and leaving the roadway on the northside. It is believed that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
