Skyler Vincent Bosserman
WHITLEY COUNTY — Skyler Vincent Bosserman, 19, was arrested by Whitley County Sheriff’s officers Thursday evening, March 9, following a shooting in the 3200 block of Colony Avenue at Tri-Lakes. Bosserman has been charged with criminal recklessness with a firearm, battery with a deadly weapon and pointing a loaded firearm. He is being held on $60,000 bond.
Whitley County Sheriff’s Department received a call just before 6 p.m. Thursday, March 9, of the shooting. The victim, a 44-year-old female, had already left the scene en route to a hospital in a private vehicle. She told police she had been struck in the leg by a ricocheted bullet that was fired from a handgun. Bosserman had fired the handgun.
Officers arrived and found Bosserman still at the residence. He was taken to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department for questioning and later booked in the county jail.
The victim was treated and released.
