PLYMOUTH — A teenager arriving at an accident involving a family member, winds up in jail after his actions threatened an officer.
Brandon Douglas Mattix, 18, Plymouth, was charged with reckless driving and intimidation on law enforcement.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday, Feb. 21, officers were investigating an accident on 11th Road, west of Olive Trail. During the investigation, Mattix, a family member, came to the scene driving recklessly and going airborne in the vehicle he was operating.
Police report Mattix threatened bodily injury and death to an officer on the scene and was arrested. Mattix was given a $1,500 cash bond and held for 24 hours for the intimidation. The prosecutor’s office released him 19 hours later on his own recognizance.
