Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, Packerton Road, north of CR 800S, Claypool. Driver: Keith H. Immel 73, South Packerton Road, Claypool. Immel lost control of his vehicle on the snow and icy road. The vehicle went off east side of the road landing on the driver’s side. Damage up to $2,500.
7:21 p.m. Jan. 9, East CR 500N, west of North SR 13, North Webster. Driver: Andrew P. Willis, 41, EMS B48 Lane, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:57 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, Lake City Highway and Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Gail A. Peterson, 65, Southernview, Ada, Ohio, and David A. Hosfstadter, 48, Flicker Trail, Burtrum, Minn. Peterson went to change lanes of travel without checking for other vehicles, pulling into the path of the Hosfstadter vehicle. Hosfstadter attempted to stop but could not avoid the collision. Damage up to $10,000.
8:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, Orthopedic Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Carolyn S. Howey, 50, East CR 900N, Milford. Howey’s vehicle struck a cement support for a parking lot light. Damage up to $2,500.
5:51 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, Fisher Avenue, south of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Robert D. Ritenour, 60, South Dale Lane, Claypool, and Scott D Burton, 30, West Union Street, Claypool. Ritenour’s vehicle struck the Burton vehicle. Burton attempted to avoid the oncoming vehicle. Ritenour was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital due to his level of intoxication. Burton refused treatment. Damage up to $50,000.
5:04 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, East Center Street and Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: David R. Egolf, 62, North Long Drive, Syracuse, and Blake Young, 25, Watson Street, Huntington. Egolf was southbound on Detroit and while in the intersection, a vehicle traveling northbound attempted to turn eastbound on Center Street in front of his vehicle. Young was northbound in the left turn lane and thought it was clear to proceed, not seeing the Egolf vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
4:44 p.m. Saturday Jan. 9, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Eric L. Ross, 53, North Franklin Street, Mentone. Ross’s vehicle struck a cement pole while he was driving up to the front doors of Meijer. Damage up to $2,500.
2:56 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, West Market Street, Warsaw. Driver: Christine L. Mannan, 61, Rosemont Ave., Warsaw, Mannan took the corner to sharp and sideswiped a concrete sign in the handicapped parking space. Damage up to $10,000.
