D. Anne Pershing, 70 of Bourbon, passed away at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, in Bremen Community Hospital, Bremen.
Anne was born June 9, 1945, in Bremen, to Max Keith and Laura Bonita (Shaffer) Pershing.
She has been a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Bourbon High School in 1963. Anne was retired from both United Parcel Service as an auditor and from Reynolds Metals where she worked in the factory. She was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Auxiliary; she enjoyed computers games, reading, working puzzles watching her soap operas and she enjoyed her family who will greatly miss her.
Surviving are two daughters: Jacque Hirshey of Syracuse, and Beth Carey of Bourbon; her son, Allen Carey of Warsaw. She was also blessed with six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Virginia Lynch of Bremen, Sally K. (Mrs. Ted) Heisler of Etna Green and her brother: Robert Pershing of Bourbon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Austin.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Neil Wonnacott of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bremen officiating.
A grave side service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Bourbon.
