MARSHALL COUNTY — A 67-year-old Plymouth man died from his injuries at South Bend Memorial Hospital following an accident at 8:36 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28. The accident was on US 31 at 14C Road.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Department reports Robert Lant was entering the traffic lane from the crossover in his 2012 Chevrolet, when he drove into the path of a 2008 Mercedes, driven by Matthew Bera, 43, Sterret, Ala.
Lant was treated at the scene by Argos/Plymouth EMS and transported to Memorial Hospital for his injuries, where he later died.
Bera, his wife Terrie and their three young children all complained of pain and were transported to St. Joseph Regional Hospital for treatment.
The Marshall County Sheriff Department was assisted by Argos EMS and Fire, Plymouth EMS, Culver EMS.
