marcia osterburMarcia Ann Osterbur, 80, of Bremen, passed away at 6:14 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, in Signature Health Care of Bremen.

Marcia was born on July 10, 1935, the daughter of Richard and Veloice (Mitchell) Whitsel.

On Sept. 21, 1963, she married Clarence Osterbur. He passed away on Oct. 22, 1983.

Marcia is survived by two sons, Michael (Aida) Stewart of Bremen and Stephan (Rosario) Osterbur of Bothell, Wash.; five grandchildren, Diana (Eric) Stewart-Doyle of Bremen, Sebastian Stewart of Bremen, Alex Osterbur of Bothell, Wash., Melissa Villarreal of Bothell, Wash. and Jennifer Villarreal of Bothell, Wash.; and one great granddaughter, Sydney Stewart-Doyle. She is also survived by three siblings, Barbara Crothers of Bremen, Helen (Keith) Bellman of Bremen and Kathleen DeLong of Bryon, Ohio

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Robert Whitsel.

Marcia proudly served her country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1956. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the American Legion. She will be remembered for her love of sewing, knitting, crocheting, and reading.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, in the chapel of Bremen Cemetery, 100 E. Second St., Bremen, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate. Mishler Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
