Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

7:31 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, East Old Road 30, west of North CR 300E, Warsaw. Driver: John R. Carpenter, 57, South Eastridge Drive North, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.

8:04 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, South SR 19, south of West CR 200S, Mentone. Drivers: Keegan R. Larimer, 17, West Harrison Street, Mentone, and Kortney R. Mayorga, 20, South West Street, Milford. Larimer’s vehicle struck the back of the Moyorga vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

7:44 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, East Armstrong Road, west of North CR 75E, Leesburg. Drive: Twila D. Zentz, 49, North Franklin Street, Mentone. Zentz reached down to get her cell phone, when she looked up, the vehicle was leaving the roadway. She attempted to regain control but her vehicle hit one utility pole, continued west, contacting another utility pole. Zentz refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.

1:23 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, West CR 800S and South Beaver Dam Road, Silver Lake. Drivers: Jane W. Baker, 62, South CR 775W, Claypool, and Dylan W. Carlson, 35, North Tippecanoe Shores, Tippecanoe. Baker’s vehicle entered the intersection into the path of the Carlson vehicle. A hillcrest obstructed the view of Baker. Baker was going to see her family physician for neck pain/stiffness. Damage up to $25,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

10:16 p.m. Sunday, No. 1, Fisher Avenue, north of CR 100S, Warsaw. Driver: Joshua L. Gage, 27, South Graceland Avenue, Claypool. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.

4:35 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: Ana J. Custer, 63, Van Buren Street, Leesburg, and Joshua J. Michael, 35, N. Placidview Lane, Milford. Custer was backing from a parking space and failed to see the Michael vehicle which was also being backed from a parking space. Damage up to $2,500.

1:28 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Emily L. Rorick, 40, East Center Street, Warsaw, and Rose S. Hillman, 54, Westmore Court, Fort Wayne. Rorick was backing from a parking space and did not see the Hillman vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

3:42 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, Fisher Avenue, north of Rozella Road, Warsaw. Vehicle unoccupied. Police were notified of a red truck parked in the middle of Fisher Avenue and a downed road sign. When police arrived the truck was gone, but was located in the woods and unoccupied. Contact was made with the owner Joshua Ridlen, South SR 15, Warsaw, who initially told police after leaving the Oak and Alley Bar at 9:45 p.m., he noticed his vehicle was stolen so he walked home. Later he told police he drove home from the bar at 3 a.m. and pulled into his driveway. Damage up to $25,000.

7:26 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, North Detroit Street south of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Alex M. Harbour, 25, Doris Road, Bristol, and Suzanne Abajay, 77, Parent Drive, Warsaw. Harbour’s vehicle sideswiped the Abajay vehicle as he was switching lanes of travel. Harbour was cited for driving while suspended and operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Damage up to $5,000.

6:53 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, Ranch Road and Kincaide Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Cheyenne N. Jackson, 18, West CR 550N, Warsaw, and Barbara E. Heimbach, 49, St. Marys Drive, Warsaw. Heimbach suffered minor bleeding to the face, but refused treatment at the scene. Jackson pulled out in front of the Heimbach vehicle, which had the right of way. Damage up to $10,000.
