Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

3:27 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, West CR 300S, west of South SR 15, Warsaw. Driver unknown. Police report a 2002 Saturn, registered to Maria C. Telles De Rodriguez, was southbound on SR 15 when it went off the road and hit a utility pole guide wire and then an earth embankment, rolling over. The driver fled the scene. Damage up to $10,000.

7:57 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, South SR 25 south of West CR 200S, Warsaw. Drivers: Taylor C. Brandon, 17, South CR 775W, Mentone, and Brian E. Snyder, 55, South CR 400W, Warsaw. Brandon’s vehicle passed the Snyder vehicle on the right, in a no passing zone, after it stopped suddenly, hitting the side of the Snyder vehicle, which was turning right. Damage up to $10,000.

4:37 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, East CR 500N and North CR 700E, North Webster. Helen A. Atwood, 48, Meadow View Drive, Syracuse, and Brian K. Smoker, 55, EMS T7B Lane, Leesburg. Smoker suffered a fracture/dislocation to the lower arm. He was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Smoker was stopped at the stop sign on CR 700E, when his motorcycle was struck by the Atwood vehicle which had turned onto CR 700E. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

2:07 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, East Winona Avenue and South Indiana Street. Drivers: Shelly D. Reeve, 64, West Highland Court, Warsaw, and Randall J. Ryan, 71, Valley View Drive, Kokomo. Reeve turned her vehicle too sharp while turning the corner and hit the front of the Ryan vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
