NORTH WEBSTER — A driver was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital after she swerved her vehicle to miss a dump truck Thursday, Aug. 20. The accident was at 3:57 p.m. on East CR 800N, east of North CR 400E, North Webster.
Ashley M. Henwood, 18, North CR 500E, Syracuse, suffered minor bleeding to the head as a result of the accident.
Kosciusko County Police report Henwood was westbound on CR 800N in her 1999 Ford when she saw a dump truck, heading eastbound, in her lane of travel. Henwood drove her vehicle off the north side of the road to avoid hitting the truck and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle overturned in a bean field. She was unable to get out of the vehicle on her own and was assisted by emergency personnel.
Damage to the vehicle and bean field was estimated up to $5,000.
