Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
1:20 a.m. Thursday, July 16, South Main Street, North Webster. Driver: Kreg A. Kuhn, 26, South CR 600W, Claypool. Kuhn, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officer, was responding to a call of a foot pursuit by North Webster Police. While entering the driveway at a South Main Street location, he was looking out the window attempting to locate the suspect, when the police vehicle struck a landscaping rock, becoming stuck. Damage up to $2,500.
10:47 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, East CR 200S and South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Driver: Sarah L. Kirchner, 35, Huffman Street, Winona Lake. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
4:42 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, East US 30, east of East CR 250S, Pierceton. Driver: Liam Rowley, 45, Azurite Place, Fort Wayne. Rowley complained of pain to the neck but was not transported to a hospital. A vehicle registered to LGR Trucking, Cincinnati, Ohio, behind Rowley’s vehicle, struck the back of his vehicle when he attempted to slow for traffic.The driver of the other vehicle was not named. Damage up to $10,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:33 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Amanda J. Wollums, 26, EMS B4 Lane, Leesburg. Wollums’ vehicle struck an opened car door on a parked vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:22 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, North Detroit Street, north of CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Danae M. Miller, 22, North SR 19, Nappanee, and Angela K. Bryant, 37, East Lynnwood Drive, Warsaw. Miller stated she was using her cell phone while driving and struck the back of the Bryant vehicle. Miller was cited for texting while driving and Bryant was cited for driving while suspended. Damage up to $10,000.
4:08 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, Anchorage Road, north of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: John V. Wogoman, 63, Northcrest, Butler, and Daniel D. Nelson, 57, East CR 400S, Warsaw. Wogoman took his eyes off the road for a moment and when he looked back the light had turned red and his vehicle had entered the intersection. Wogoman’s vehicle collided with the Nelson’s vehicle, which was in the intersection waiting to make a turn. Damage up to $10,000.
12:42 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, West Market Street and South Lake Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Robert J. Tess, 80, Lakeview Drive, Haines City, Fla., and Dominique A. Wilburn, 17, Miner Drive, Warsaw. Tess disregarded a red traffic signal causing his vehicle to collide with the Wilburn vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
9:10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, East Center Street and Eastlake Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Stephen R. Flenar, 56, East Lantern Road, Warsaw, and Kenneth C. Baugher, 73, East Patterson Road, Warsaw. Flenar misread the green light and turned in front of the Baugher vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
