UPDATE: Southern Kosciusko County has now been placed under a severe thunderstorm warning until 10 p.m. Other counties include Fulton County, northwestern Miami County and northern Wabash County
Locations impacted include Rochester, North Manchester, Akron, Mentone, Kewanna, Claypool, Macy, Burket, Signey, Disko, Leiters Ford, Tiosa, Ijamsville, Talma, Nyena Lake, Beaver Dan, Liberty Mills, Bruce Lake Station, Sevastopol and Laketon.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding.
Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Kosciusko County and Western Noble County until 10 p.m.
At 9:13 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located over North Webster or near Syracuse moving east at 20 miles per hour. Wind gusts of 60 miles per hour with quarter size hail was detected on radar. Hail damage to vehicles is expected with wind damage to roofs, siding and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will be near Ligonier around 9:35 p.m. and Albion around 10 p.m. Other locations impacted include Wolf Lake, James Lake, Brimfield, Cromwell, Kimmel, Oakwood Park, Wilmot, Cosperville, Green Center and Lake Wawasee.
The area remains in a tornado watch.
