Christopher Allen Sr
Christopher Joe Allen Sr., 59 of Leesburg, went home to be with the Lord at 6:12 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015, in his residence.

On Jan. 10, 1956, he was born in Warsaw, to Chris and Virginia (Slone) Allen. He was united in marriage to Peggy Jo Crace on Aug. 3, 1976 in Warsaw, who survives.

A lifelong resident of Kosciusko County, Chris worked as a grinder for Dalton Foundry, Warsaw, retiring in 2008. He was a member of God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw. Chris enjoyed spending time with family, riding motorcycles, working on cars, reading the Bible, as well as, playing guitar and singing.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Peggy Jo Allen, Leesburg; two sons: William Music Jr., Warsaw and Christopher (and spouse Sherri) Allen Jr., Silver Lake; his daughter: Melissa (and spouse Todd) Cornett, Warsaw; his adopted daughter: Sheena (and spouse Michael) Berry, Warsaw; seven grandchildren: William Music III, Warsaw; Kimberly Music, Warsaw; Christien Pozorski, Fort Wayne; Michael Pozorski, Fort Wayne; Todd Cornett II, Warsaw; Brittny Cornett, Warsaw; and Tiffny Cornett, Warsaw; one adopted grandchild: Trystyn Berry, Warsaw; and two great- grandchildren: Aunna and Hunter Stahl, Warsaw; his sister: Judy (and spouse Charles) Pennington, Warsaw; three brothers: John (and spouse Robin) Allen, Delphos, Ohio; Buck Slone, Warsaw; and Harvey Allen, Pierceton; son-in-law: Karl Pozorski, Warsaw; daughter-in-law: Angela Music, Warsaw; his sister-in-law and her son: Tonya Allen and Josiah James Allen, Tennessee.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, two children and his brother, Henry J. Allen.

A funeral service will be at noon, Thursday, July 9,in God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw, with Pastor Bob Brown officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Visitation hours will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher Allen Sr. Memorial Fund, c/o Peggy Allen.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
