Con and Sharon (Heighway) Shewman, 9900 E. Division Road, Akron, will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, Akron, hosted by their children and grandchildren.
The couple has two children: Ron (and spouse Peg) Shewman and Jennifer (and spouse Matt) Fraser, both of Akron. They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Sharon retired as an aide at Akron Elementary School. Con is a bus driver for Tippecanoe Valley School Corp.
The couple requests no gifts.
