Elkhart
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
1:45 p.m. Thursday, May 28, CR 29 west of CR 25 in front of the New Paris Water Treatment Plant. Driver: Dawn Stineback, 44, North Webster. Stineback was traveling too fast to negotiate the curve, going straight, through a ditch and ejected off her 1995 Suzuki motorcycle. She was taken to IU Health Goshen with abrasions to the leg, arm and face.
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:06 p.m. Thursday, May 28, South CR 500E, south of East Wooster Road, Pierceton. Driver: Crystal J. Slusher, 31, South Washington Street, Pierceton. Hit deer. Damage up to $1,000.
10:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, East Harper Road and North Old SR 15, Leesburg. Driver: Justin Campos Ciriello, 19, North Creek Bend Lane, Milford. Swerved to miss a deer, going off the road down a ditch in a field. Damage up to $2,500.
3:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, SR 19, Mentone. Drivers: Kristina I. Swick, 18, Waterview Drive, Rochester, and Blake W. Tipton, 17, West CR 1400N, Silver Lake. Both drivers were traveling in opposite directions in the Tippecanoe Valley High School parking lot, when Swick turned in front of the Tipton vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
