Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
3:37 p.m. Saturday, May 23, North CR 300E and East Bowser Road, Milford. Drivers: Chelsea L. Fetters, 18 Ulrich Drive, Milford, and Jason P. Pressler, 40, Tropicana Avenue, Goshen. Fetters was taken to Lutheran Hospital where she died from injuries. Pressler and two other occupants were not injured. Evidence indicated Fetters drove into the path of the Pressler vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
1:53 p.m. Friday, May 22, South Country Club Road, north of East Winona Beach Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Ethan M. House, 17, South Country Club Road, Warsaw. House was northbound on Country Club Road when his vehicle left the roadway, hit a concrete embankment cause him to loose control and hit a utility pole, overturning. He suffered minor injuries to the shoulder/upper arm and was checked at the scene by paramedics. Damage up to $25,000.
7:08 a.m. Friday, May 22, West CR 125N, west of North CR 875W, Etna Green. Driver: Jana L. Still, 36, North Greenwood Drive, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
6:55 p.m. Thursday, May 21, West Lake Street, west of North Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Ephraim W. Lloyd, 33, West Pike Street, Warsaw. Lloyd entered the roundabout too fast, causing his vehicle to hit a curb, then going off the left side of the roundabout intersection and hit a yield sign. Lloyd left the scene without reporting the incident. Damage up to $5,000.
1:47 p.m. Thursday, May 21, East McClintic Road and North CR 800E, Syracuse. Drivers: Andrew M. McGiboney, 21, Skycrest Boulevard, Fruitland Park, Fla., and Terry J. Davies, 59, West Chasefield Circle, McHenry, Ill. McGiboney crossed the center line in a curve hitting the Davies vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:13 p.m. Thursday, May 21, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Brenda K. Ball, 30, West Effie Mae Street, North Webster. Ball backed out of a parking lot hitting a cement culvert holding a stop sign. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
12:38 p.m. Sunday, May 24, Lake City Highway at Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Kevin D. Frantz, 53, East CR 100S, Pierceton. Frantz complained of pain to the neck. An unknown driver of a vehicle struck the back of Frantz’s vehicle and left the scene. Damage up to $1,000.
7:07 p.m. Saturday, May 23, East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Janyana L. Serpas, 24, East Ewing Ave., South Bend, and Sarah M. Hall, 27, Baseline Road, Leesburg. Serpas backed from a parking space and hit the Hall vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
4:53 p.m. Friday, May 22, East Center Street, east of North Tamarack Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Heather N. Bryan, 19, South Line Street, South Whitley; Glen E. Patrick, 52, West CR 800S, Claypool; and Brenda S. Fox, 51, Bessmore Park Road, Rochester. Bryan was using her cell phone’s GPS to locate a residence, which stopped working and she was attempted to fix the issue, and hit the back of the Patrick vehicle, which was pushed into the Fox vehicle. Damage up to $50,000
3:31 p.m. Friday, May 22, Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Johnny W. Schoettmer, 55, South Erie Street, Lapel, and Amanda B. Sordelet, 30, West River Road, South Whitley. Schoettmer was backing from a parking space and struck the Sordelet vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
12:27 p.m. Friday, May 22, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: Isabel M. Olivo, 26, Indian Trail, Warsaw, and Mathew L. Slabaugh, 19, West CR 1350N, Milford. Olivo was backing from a parking space and did not see Slabaugh backing from an opposite parking space, colliding. Damage up to $2,500.
11:07 a.m. Friday, May 22, North Detroit Street and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Lois H. Mallory, 78, Heide Lane, Milford, and Mark K. Wolfgang, 56, West Vine Street, Van Buren. Mallory swerved to the right to avoid a fast moving vehicle coming up behind her, running into Wolfgang’s semitrailer. Mallory refused medical attention at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:51 p.m. Sunday, May 24, East Winona Avenue, Winona Lake. Drivers: Trevor W. Stone, 17, East Prairie Street, Leesburg, and Jessie R. Monroe, 46, Wexford Place, Warsaw. Stone had parked in a non-parking spot and began backing up. When he stated he had had transmission problem and through he was going to pull forward, but it was still in reverse, hitting the Monroe vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
