Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:46 p.m. Thursday, May 14, West US 30 and North CR 650W, Warsaw. Driver: Kerine L. Miller, 48, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Miller turned too sharp while turning onto US 30, hitting the one way sign. Damage up to $5,000.
4:35 a.m. Thursday, May 11, East CR 1400N, west of North Warner Road, Syracuse. Driver: Kory T. Workman, 21, North Lake Street, Syracuse. Workman swerved to miss a deer causing his vehicle to roll over six times. He was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Damage up to $10,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:08 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, Matchett Drive, Pierceton. Drivers: Katrina C. Wilcox, 42, East Old Trail Road, Columbia City., and Ronnie L. Cornell, 49, South SR 13, Pierceton. Wilcox was backing from a parking space and did not see the Cornell vehicle traveling behind her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:13 p.m. Thursday, May 14, Lake City Highway, west of Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Drivers: Natalie M. Arnold, 18, East CR 700N, Leesburg, and Bryan E. Severns, 46, North Bourbon Street, Bourbon. Arnold turned her vehicle in front of the Severns vehicle. Arnold was cited for failure to yield by left turn. Damage up to $5,000.
9:10 p.m. Thursday, May 14, Lake City Highway and North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Sandra Valencia, 28, Short Ridge Drive, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.
10:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, North Detroit Street and East Arthur Street, Warsaw. Driver: Tracy E. Parker, 51, East CR 600S, Warsaw. Thomas E. Meade, 59, West Market Street, Warsaw, fell off his bicycle into the path of the Parker vehicle. Parker could not avoid hitting Meade, pinning him under the front tire. Meade was taken to Lutheran Hospital with internal chest injuries. Damage under $750.
