Republicans, and one Democrat, have begun filing their candidacy for various county office seats since the start of filing Jan. 8. As of Monday the list of candidates included:
Judge, Kosciusko Superior Court 1 — David C. Cates and Stephen P. Harris
Judge, Kosciusko Superior Court 3 — Joe V. Sutton (incumbent)
Prosecuting Attorney, 54th Judicial District — Daniel H. Hampton (incumbent)
County Auditor — Michelle L. Puckett
County Recorder — Joetta Mitchell
County Sheriff — C. Aaron Rovenstine
County Assessor — Susan D. Engleberth
County Commissioner, Southern District — Robert M. (Bob) Conley (incumbent)
County Council District 3 — Bradley J. Tandy (incumbent)
County Council District 4 — Jon Garber (incumbent)
Filing for Township Trustees are: Julia A. Goon, Priarie, (incumbent); Joshua Spangle, Monroe, (incumbent); Aime Hoffman, Seward; Dean Rhodes, Washington, (incumbent); Tracy Moyer, Harrison, (incumbent); Jerry Kammerer, Plain, (incumbent); Steve Ward, Tippecanoe, (incumbent) and Helen I. Brown, Clay, (incumbent).
Filing for township advisory board members are: Joe R. Mooney, Etna, (incumbent); Robert J. Bishop, Wayne, (incumbent).
Vickie Marquart, filed her candidacy for Van Buren Township Advisory Board and is the lone Democrat who has filed any candidacy. She is an incumbent for the office.
No filings have been recorded for Kosciusko Superior Court II Judge, although Tyler S. Haines of Leesburg has announced his candidacy. No candidates have filed for Kosciusko County Council Districts 1 and 2 and or Districts 1 and 2 for Syracuse Town Council.
Candidates have until noon Friday, Feb. 7, to declare his/her candidacy.
