The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northern Kosciusko County, southern Elkhart County and northeastern Marshall County until 6 p.m.
Severe thunderstorms were located at 5:08 p.m. along a line extending from fie miles north of Bourbon to eight miles southwest of Milford to six miles north of Warsaw and moving north at 20 miles per hour.
Quarter size hail and 60 mile per hour wind gusts are expected, along with hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding and trees.
The severe thunderstorms will be near Milford and Nappanee around 5:30 p.m.; Syracuse around 5:35 p.m. and Wakarusa around 5:45 p.m.
Other locations in the warning include Hastings, Dewart Lake, Gravelton, Lake Wawasee, Oakwood Park, Locke and Foreaker.
Residents are encouraged to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
