A female, the lone occupant of what appeared to be a Chevrolet Blazer, was airlifted from the scene of a single vehicle accident, to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. The accident was at approximately 9:45 p.m. on US 30, just east of the westbound exit ramp to SR 15.
The female was reported as being conscious and alert, with no apparent life-threatening injuries. She was airlifted as a precautionary measure.
Both the eastbound and westbound traffic was diverted to the exit ramps as all four lanes were closed down due to the single-vehicle accident. Lutheran Air landed on the eastbound lane of US 30.
Few details are available at this time. It is believed she was eastbound when the vehicle went off the roadway, into the median before rolling over at least once. Debris of grass, dirt and small parts from the vehicle was strewn in the westbound lane.
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department along with the assistance from the Kosciusko County accident investigation team were on the scene. Warsaw Fire Department was assisted at the site by Winona Lake Fire Department. Multi-Township EMS also responded to the scene.
