Christopher Francis
Christopher Francis, North Webster, has returned to the Tippecanoe Township Advisory Board. He was elected to the Tippecanoe Township Advisory Board Tuesday evening to fill the unexpired term of James Rhodes who submitted his resignation effective March 14.
Francis’ election was conducted during a Republican Caucus of precinct committeemen, at the Tippecanoe Township Trustee’s Office, North Webster.
Francis was appointed to the township advisory board in January 2012, filling the vacancy left by the Dec. 31, 2011 resignation of Richard “Dick” Mitchell. Mitchell passed away on Jan. 16, 2012, shortly before the caucus was held on Jan. 24, 2012.
Francis had served on the township advisory board until December 2014. Due to a state statute members of the EMS, street department, fire department and other entities receiving funds from a town or township could not serve on governing boards. He was a member of the North Webster Fire Department.
Francis is a native of North Webster and a road officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. He is a 2001 graduate of Wawasee High School and started with the sheriff’s department in 2004. He had served with the North Webster Fire Department and North Webster EMS since the age of 16. Francis is presently taking a break from his position on the fire department, due to the state statute.
Francis and his wife Leanne have two boys, Caden and Reagan, one daughter Kennedy and another daughter is due in May.
