The cause of the fire Sunday, March 22, at On The Grow, 809 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw, is being investigated by Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Territory and Warsaw Police Department. But that is not stopping owner Harold Schapson from re-opening.
Schapson stated while the exact time frame is known, he is planning on re-opening the business in the next 30 days. The business is a kids resale shop for clothing.
Firefighters received a call at 4:17 p.m. Sunday of smoke coming from behind the business. What firefighters found were leaves burning behind the structure and the fire had spread under the siding. Firefighters removed the siding to extinguish the fire, which had spread to the wall.
Schapson is estimating the damage at between $60,000 to $80,000.
