Emma Louise Masteller, 98, of Kewanna passed away peacefully at 4:45 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at her residence.
Born on March 20, 1916 in Hannibal, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Walter W. and Nellie Wilson.
On Dec. 7, 1933, she married Robert L. Masteller and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1984.
Mrs. Masteller was a homemaker. She also assisted her husband on their farm for many years.
She was past matron of the Rochester Order of Eastern Star, member of Kewanna United Methodist Church, DAR and the clan Gunn.
Survivors include her three sons, Billy Masteller (Ruth) of Mishawaka, J Masteller and Jonathan Masteller, both of Kewanna; six daughters, Dara Yoder of Argos, Mary Nell Smith (Ron) of Twelve Mile, Barbara Wireman of Lafayette, Sally Masteller of Tuscon, Arizona, Martha Burns (Jeffrey) of Atlanta, Ga., and Emma Masteller of Redwood City, Calif. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, daughter-in-law, Cathy Masteller and son-in-law, Clyde Wireman.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27, at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna, and also one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Saturday.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, at Kewanna United Methodist Church with Pastor Todd Wilson officiating.
Burial will be at Citizens IOOF Cemetery in Kewanna.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna.
